On going projects
Building partnership between non-profit organizations of Sweden and Northwest Russia
Organisers: Arkhangelsk Centre of Social Technologies “Garant” (www.ngogarant.ru, telephone/fax: +7 8182 68 09 10, e-mail: burieva@ngo-garant.ru)
Goal: to contribute to creation of unspicious conditions for building and cultivating partnership relations between public organizations of Sweden, Arkhangelsk Oblast and Nenets Autonomous District and for implementation of partnership projects in the social sphere.
Project Objectives:
- To raise awareness of public non-profit organizations in Sweden, Arkhanglsk Oblast and Nenets Autonomous Oblast about NGOs’ activities in both countries and possibilities of partnership development;
- To create an informational database of public non-profit organizations of Northern regions and build capacity for regular and effective communications with each other;
- To carry out activities aimed to build direct partnership relations between public non-profit organizations in Sweden, Arkhangelsk Oblast and Nenets Autonomous Oblast.

”Activities aimed at prevent human trafficking, domestic and gender violence”
We are looking for partners that will be interested in developing cooperation in organizing activities that prevent human trafficking and domestic gender violence. The expenditures connected with the trip organization will be covered by the Nordic Council of Ministers. Approximate trip time – line is the beginning of March but we are still discussing it. I believe that this short-term visit will become just the beginning of cooperation and in future we will be glad to host our new partner organization on the Russian side.

“Development of youth movement against negative social phenomenon “Your health in your hands”.
Project owner: Arkhangelsk region department of the Red Cross
The Red Cross in Arkhangelsk received finance to develop the project “Development of youth movement against negative social phenomenon “Your health in your hands”.
This project aims to promote volunteer movement in the sphere of the health life style on the territory of the Arkhangelsk region. One of the stages of the project implementation is the meetings with representatives of Swedish and Norwegian NGOs, which work in the sphere of the health life style promotion and against drugs.
The Red Cross is searching contacts with more organizations acting in this field in Stockholm to visit and learn experience of development of volunteers’ movement in the promotion of the health life style.
